Hi all, I am fairly new to the hobby and I have some questions regarding safe use of pesticides. So, I have two pots/bog gardens with a mixture of Sarracenias, Droseras and Dionaeas on my balcony. In one of the two pots, I encountered some suspiciously irregular growth, with two Sarracenias developing weirdly loopy, deformed pitchers - especially in contrast with the Sarracenias in the other pot right next to it.
After doing some research on the potential causes, I decided that it would be best to be safe and apply a pesticide to both pots in case aphids or thrips are to blame for the deformities in new growth, although I could not see any bugs with the naked eye. I settled on spraying with Spruzit AF, which according to the manufacturer contains 0.05 g/l pyrethrine, corresponds to 0.2 g/l natural pyrethrum, and 8.25 g/l rapeseed oil. I applied a generous amount last night, but to be on the safe side, I wanted to check in with you all and see if there is anything else that I should be doing to mitigate the risk of adverse effects to the plants. So, I was hoping to get some guidance:
Thanks for any and all input! This is my first time handling any pesticides at all and I want to make sure I'm doing everything right.

So, I was hoping to get some guidance:
- Should I mist/water/rinse off the spray now, or at any stage? I've read that solutions containing oil may cause pitcher burns if left on the pitchers during the sun. Fortunately it's cloudy today, but still, if that is a realistic risk, I would like to know if I should rinse it off now, or would that reduce the effectiveness of the pesticide applied or something?
- Should pyrethrine be reapplied, or is this a one-time treatment? If it should be reapplied, how frequently should I do it?
- Should the soil be rinsed off, or do I just keep watering and refilling the trays as per usual?
- Are there any other considerations/tips to be aware of?
Thanks for any and all input! This is my first time handling any pesticides at all and I want to make sure I'm doing everything right.
