Karma
I am sure everyone has seen the Karma on their profiles, and have wondered, WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?
Karma is defined as the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences.
On this forum however, I have decided to quantify Karma in the form of a number, and here is how it works.
On the bottom of a members information, there is a karma, smite and exalt! Here is an example:
Every day each member is given the opportunity to exalt another member (which adds one point of karma), or to smite another member (which will remove one point of Karma). A member has no power over his own karma, everyone else does though! So the more good things you post, the better your karma will be.
Remember to use your exaltations and smiting abilities wisely, you can only exalt/smite one person per day!
So, how do you smite or exalt a fellow forum member? It is very simple. When you see a post you think deserves an exaltation, look to the left. You should see an option to click exalt or smite. This option will only show up once a day. By clicking one or the other, you would have given (or removed) Karma.
I wanted to add this feature to the forums so that members who have been prominent would end up with high amounts of karma, and so that people who have been rude, or giving false information, would have less karma (will be smiten more often). I also added it to make the forums more fun and enjoyable!
And here is a video, if you prefer to see what I am talking about:
So have fun with it! And enjoy!
