I’ve had this plant for about 4 years now and figured it was time to make a thread on it! I picked this up in 2017 the Friday before the BACPS show and sale at California Carnivores. I was outside browsing their display plants, saw a seed grown plant that looked like a red oreophila, and ran off to ask Damon if it would be for sale. I expected a no (because it was pretty nice!) but was pleasantly surprised and it was the first purchase of that trip. Let me tell you, I got super lucky and never could’ve imagined how nice it could turn it! It is a very vigorous plant, and I’ve divided it multiple times and have started distributing it, but I don’t even know the maximum size this plant can get yet. It has been constantly divided because it keeps outgrowing the pot every single year!
This plant presents itself as a range of colors, from a cuprea tinged copper, to a burnt orange, a deep reddish orange with black veins, and, sometimes, neon orange. Have I mentioned that I love this plant?!
Here are some pictures from the past year - my apologies for the picture quality and angles - I’ll definitely get better ones this year. I had to spend so much time watering last year that I didn’t have much time to enjoy my plants!
First off, neon orange in winter

2 pots of this plant - unfortunately the plant gets pretty floppy, nothing staking up the plant can’t fix - maybe I’ll take care of that this year. Remember that this plant was a single growth point with a pitcher no taller than 8 inches four years ago - and - there are six other divisions of this plant, each with multiple GP.

And finally, the coloring from this October!

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!
