Thanks kiwiearl, and you're welcome! These plants were neglected for about half a decade, and they did very well for a long time until the soil just got way too decomposed. I transplanted them during the winter of 2010, and they've been making a great come back ever since.
That's quite the chubby plant there! The red throat is certainly interesting, I think my one surviving burkii "Chipola" x typical my have somewhat of the same thing, with red starting to get really thick around the mouth area.
Those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do.
Snagged a small division of Clone K from Mike last winter and I'm amazed how large it has grown this spring (I mean, I don't know why I continue to be surprised at how strong Mike's plants are...). It's definitely not even at it's full potential yet, but nonetheless it's become one of my favorite plants. Look at this charmer:

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
