Here's a few different clones of S. minor from Old Dock, Columbus Co, NC. I'm really starting to like this population of plants, and now I'm really starting to see why these are called minors-they're pretty short! Okee giants really makes these minors look small!

It was a hot summer day last year and Brie and I were casually looking at the different Sarracenia plants that were brought to first -and to date, only- Northwest CP gathering. I was telling her about my great fondness for S. minor and following a rather expressive uttering of "I just love minors", a smirk formed on her face. A few seconds later I caught up w/ her thought process.... I've yet to live those words down. To mark the year anniversary of this special moment, I've created this image based on her rendition of the events.
Some new photos, taken 6/10/2012. I had all the clones organized in the photos, but when they were uploaded, things got messed up, so I'll do my best to differentiate each individual from this population. There's some striking diversity in this population. next few shots are of clone A:
The next few pics are of the pink windowed clone:
And here's a red-headed clone:

stu: Hi Mike: I’m pleased to report that the S. rubra wherryi Chatom Giant you sent has arrived in great shape as did the bonus plant from NC. Both are now back under southern skies and are feeling warm, humid, and at home again. Thanks!

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
