Hello Sarraceniophiles: Here are the steps for the creation of the shirts! This will give us a timeline for when we will start selling. Steps that are complete have been stricken, steps in bold are current.
1. DESIGN SUBMISSION 2. DONATION NOMINATION 3. Voting Round 1 3a. Voting for Design 3b. Voting for Donation
4 Voting Round 2 4a. Voting for Shirt Colour 4b. Voting for Shirt Price 5. Creating a blurb for the Tee Spring Page -Should include information about the forum, the shirt and the organization we are donating too.
6. Advertising the link to buy the shirt EVERYWHERE. -This is the most important part of the shirt. Sales are a MUST. TeeSpring works on a crowd funding model, so if a certain minimum of shirts are not pre-ordered, the shirts will not be mailed. Last year we sold above our target, but we shouldn't be complacent about it. We advertised on other forums, Facebook, twitter, to our friends and co-workers etc. The actual selling of the shirts will determine the profits too. 7. Aftermath -Where we speak about how to make the process better for next year. There is also a delay between the end of sales and when the check is received by me to donate.
The t-shirts should go on sale day after current voting is over and should be on sale for 3 weeks only! This gives us enough time to get the amount to donate perfectly set, and possibly double our donation. Once the shirts go live we would need help advertising. Post on FB pages, twitter, instagram, blogs, speak to your family and friends.
Last year I purchased 4 shirts, one for me, one for Donna my gf, and two for co-workers who were interested. This saved us a lot on shipping, and perhaps may be a model others can follow as well.
Creator of the forums! Yeah, I know I was away for a while, but I am back!!!

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
