Hello everyone my name is Adam and I am Combat medic for the U.S army stationed in my home town in Fort Benning GA. I have grown carnivores on and off since I was a lad but have recently gotten back into them big time (since I can grow them so easy here as opposed to previous assignments.) I have only two small bog bowl gardens right now but they are packed enough that I am now prompted to build a small bog garden over winter for the plants to wake up in. As for what I grow, anything carnivorous I can get really. I have a few sarr's such as S. flava var. Ornata and Rugelli, S. purpurea, S.purpurea unknown hybrid (came in death cube labled as purpurea, it ain't) S rubra, S rubra ssp gulfenis, S.Psiticina regular and Okefenokis, S leucophylla seedling, S. alata x minor, and a judith hindle looking hybrid.
I have Drosera Cappilaris and intermedia as well as a pair of VFT's and the odd man out of my group is Utricularia Purpurea. I am trying to get my collection to expand as much as I can over the winter to fill in my new grow space and will be looking to make any new additions I can. I am open to trade as well as gifting seeds and divisions and such to those interested but am unaware of regulations governing mailing and such as well as the fact that, like I said, my collection is in more need of expansion than division right now.
I love looking at other peoples plants as well as learning from their growing experiences. I also enjoy going off the beaten path to visit carnivores in the wild, witch I do quite a bit since I live basically in the middle of sarracenia land (the SE coastal plains.) And have a decent camara that I use to record my outings (the ONLY thing I take is pictures of course) and will post those photos here for all to enjoy as well.
All in all I am happy to be in a place where I can share my hobby and learn more about it from others because I still very much conisder myself a novice grower. I look forward to learning from you all.
