AudacityOfTheMind. I noticed you called your Josh Lynch 'abandoned hope' an imposter. Could you clarify for me why? I ask because that's where I sourced mine from.
The reason I called it Abandoned Hope "Imposter" is cause Josh had it listed as the actual Abandoned Hope until he said on instagram that it might not be cause the source where he got it from (tissue culture company) made a mistake and switched labels. Last year I ordered the actual Abandoned Hope from Cali Carnivores to compare and the plant might look similar but it's really different. For one the Genuine AH is much taller and AH "Imposter" is shorter. It's just too bad my actual Genuine Cali Carnivores Abandoned Hope died, so I may have to get another one. Don't get me wrong, the AH "Imposter" is very pretty and vigorous

Thank you for that clarification. I must've missed that post on IG. I definitely like the "imposter" it is a beautiful plant. The last thing I would want is to pass off a mislabeled plant, or hell even have a mislabeled plant in my collection for that matter. Since sarrs are my favorites, I want to make sure my shit is tight with them. Fly traps and drosera if I doubt the authenticity they are going in the burn pile along with the weak genetic material.
stu: Hi Mike: I’m pleased to report that the S. rubra wherryi Chatom Giant you sent has arrived in great shape as did the bonus plant from NC. Both are now back under southern skies and are feeling warm, humid, and at home again. Thanks!

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
