To celebrate our patriotism I have started out with a pot of freshly pulled "jonesii lookalike" crowns. as you can see if you miss 1 giveaway there will be more chances to score. Crowns range from very small to med-large; however if I select a small crown for you I will most likely give you more than 1.
This plant hasn't colored up yet but it gets more red and is HYPER-VIGOROUS once it gets established.
Terms: winner to pay $6 shipping for usps priority mail.
participants are to include their username followed by a number: i.e. 1. Jane Doe, etc. Winner chosen at random and even if a winner is selected, keep watching because there have been many past incidents where the winner doesn't respond and I elect a new winner. Please be respectful to me and the other participants and follow through if you win/play.
After selection of a winner I allow 7 days for a response then a new winner is selected. When you win, just pm me.
As a thank you for being a member of such a great community, this is 95% exclusive to this forum so this is the only place I will be hosting most of my giveaway's the other being the cpforum. Also I would ask that this year the participants have a minimum of 50 posts. I do not think it is asking much, easily attainable and a bargain for such a tightly distributed species. however you are all still encouraged to enter.....if a winner bails then I will waive the 50 post minimum.
Lastly, have a great holiday and Good Luck to you all!
p.s. for this giveaway, it ends on the 6th in the pm. I will select the best looking division.

additionally I am having 1 active giveaway on thecpforum.com. Jake has always been a good administrator to me but the place just never got traction. Feel free to post up there as well to increase your chances to win as i doubt there will be much competition.
There is no minimum post imposed so sign up and jump right into the giveaway! Maybe take a look around
edit: as you can see I have quite a few to giveaway and I am only doing 1 a week plus the time it takes to elect a winner so you still have around 10 more weeks to get in on this.....PLENTY of time to get 50 post!
summit: Hey guys, I'm about to sow some seeds and I was curious to know what everyone thinks 'too hot' for Sarracenia seeds would be? Having them in the dome bumps up the temps a bit.
Oct 2, 2019 13:36:15 GMT -5
DirtyDivisions: summit I’ve been fine at a constant 95° F under the dome. Once the tiny seedlings have two pitchers I remove the dome and temps go down.
Oct 5, 2019 20:28:05 GMT -5
summit: @dirtydivisions Thanks for that! I'm sitting around 87-88F with the dome fully sealed but I wasn't doing that and sacrificing humidity to keep it cooler but I'll go ahead and close it down now!

mikee: Thanks you chofah, there is a great video from The Pitcher Project with Phil Faulisi this was what I was looking for. However it still appears to be wait and see what results come from the cross. Many thanks
Apr 21, 2020 3:41:45 GMT -5
Willy: It would be rather silly to expect totally predictable results from a cross. The individual plants grown from the seeds will vary, sometimes quite a bit, even with carefully protected hand pollination. If you open polinate, the variety may be even greater.
