Thank you! When I built my vivarium, I did order a small liverwort online to plant in it but unfortunately it was pretty unhealthy when it came in the mail. I tried to nurse it back to health, but it perished pretty quickly. I adore liverworts but they're never sold in nurseries around me and most people seem to regard them as a nuisance (WHY? they are so cute!) and I haven't found a reputable online store that sells them. If you know a reputable online store that sells liverworts PLEASE refer me to them
As far as fern gametophytes, I had to move about a 3 weeks ago and I was forced to leave a lot of my plants behind for the time being. One of the things I had to leave behind was a sealed tupperware container I was germinating Platycerium superbum spores in so I never got to see them progress to the gametophyte stage. But I just got a new job in my new city so as soon as I'm financially stable again I plan on trying my hand at raising ferns from spores again!
When I said gametophyte ferns, I meant the ferns that permanently stay in the gametophyte stage. They have always fascinated me and I have even seen them wild in the mountians of NC and TN (both locations had at least 20 species of liverworts too.
Also, WOW! I had no idea such ferns existed! What are some examples?
