A nifty yellow spider hunting on S. flava var. cuprea (pardon the lousy photo -iPhone paparazzi over here ha). They usually lurk on the lid or the column, but look how far down inside the trap this one is! There is a similar type that is white that also frequents the traps on my Sarracenias. While other spiders are regularly captured, I haven't seen one of these get caught... Does anyone know what species this is?
sanguinearocks101: What are good plants to make hybrids with S. luecophylla with? Im looking for dark colors.

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
