So, bunch of bad news to get out of the way first: battling rot again this spring and have lost, among others: 'Snake Bite', 'Mardi Gras' (again), 'Judith Hindle' (again), flava rugelii x oreophila, (leuco x flava) x leuco, 'Leah Wilkerson' x flava rubri "rugelii clone," and despite my efforts the growth point I tried to save from flava rugelii A x B also appears to just be going downhill anyway. And, still trying to fight the stupid stuff off my big oreo and (rubra x oreo) x rosea, among others....

Just saw that you lost your Snake Bite to rot When I move next year and have to dig up my bog I'll send you a division for free. It should be a pretty healthy sized division because it's growing like a weed in the bog.
That would be great! I am a sucker for anything snake-related in name, and as that plant was a stunner it was a bonus. I was in contact with Sunbelle, they said they were going to divide the plants and set aside a division, but then nothing came of it.... In any case, I really want to get that guy and, eventually, some of its relatives back into the collection (its sibling "King Cobra," not the same as Phil's, is equally impressive for size alone). Until rot hit it and several other plants, my big old oreo included, they were incredibly vigorous...
On another note, I will soon have update pics on a lot of things. I am still working through repotting things (a dangerous proposition in July, I know, but it needs to be done to get rid of... whatever is in that soil), but a lot of the formerly repotted and the newly moved outdoors plants are sending up some great pitchers...
Those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do.

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
