I was looking at some of the flava populations that haven't been repotted in close to a decade and out of the corner of my eye, this ornata stuck out and I immediately thought "oh wow, that's pretty neat." If you can think of a worse or cornier name, I'd like to hear it, but I think I got first place in that regard. It's "not not" a ridiculous name!
S. flava var. ornata 'pretty neat' Liberty Co, FL, pics taken 6/22/21 (as a side note, for those of you who are Rap scholars (ie. sippin on a 40 but have a PHD in rapping like Dr. Dre), the day "6-22" reminds me of the lyrics from "I'm a player" by Too Short. This is definitely some gangster material, so Parental guidance is suggested. 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult:

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
