Hello from Southern California! Decided I should join this forum after I found myself coming back to it for some tips on growing my new carnivorous plants. I have been growing veggies, herbs, and tropical plants indoors under grow lights for a while, and have just recently got into growing carnivores. After modifying my growing rack with a tray to hold distilled water, I am now growing two Sarracenia Purpureas and a cape sundew. Their deep reddish-purple hue look fantastic paired with the african violet I am growing next to them. A few of the younger green Sarracenias have seemed to have gone limp, and have a few crisp areas on them, but I am just attributing this to some minor shock while getting acclimated to their new home. Hope to start posting here more frequently 😃

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
