I don't have any location data for this plant, but it's most likely either from Louisiana or Mississippi. This clone also might be either the parental clone or sibling to the parental clone of S. Black Widow, but I think Phil F. would be a better judge of that. whatever the case may be, this clone is a stunning red variant! Look at how deep red those traps are!
This clone colors up for me only in the fall when the temperatures go down and light intensity....stays intense! Pics taken 11/28/19:

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
