well, the interior isn't really dark yet, maybe the traps need to age a bit more before this one colors up. What is very surprising is the sheer height of one of the traps, probably 3+ feet tall! It's really hard to tell scale from the photo, but it's really dang tall!
This clone was originally selected because it's got a dark interior, and I think the trap can get very dark, but it hasn't really colored up for me in the past 2-3 years. Maybe this really needs just the right conditions to color up, I'm not sure. It seems height and size of the traps are now a more interesting characteristic of this vigorous clone! We'll see what happens, if anything, with the fall traps.

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
