Here's a really beautiful butterfly that I painstakingly followed around for a long time before getting a few shots worth posting! It was feasting on the nectar of S. leucophylla at first, but then went over to S. oreophila Clay Co, NC for another sip. It definitely looked intoxicated, but it didn't get munched. I can't say the same for its kin though, many traps in the collection are loaded with big butterflies unfortunately: the plants target the Beautiful, the bad, the beneficial, and the UGLY:
something must have tried to nab this butterfly, some parts of the wings look damaged. Maybe that's why this butterfly stopped by to have a drink, to chill out after being chased by a lizard or something:
sanguinearocks101: What are good plants to make hybrids with S. luecophylla with? Im looking for dark colors.

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
