Looking good Rick. I think I have the twin of your Ares growing out in my yard.
Thanks gotsarrs. I feel bad for not having it in a bigger pot. I think it would go completely bonkers if it had more room. At least I now know it has resigned to my Kansas conditions and has settled in.
So I decided to blow off the yard work and spend some time nurturing my cropz ... Then I grabbed my camera ...
S. moorei leuco. 'Purple Lips' x flava ornata
These haven't done much over the last couple of growing seasons ... out of neglect, mostly. Seems as the re pot, dividing and fresh soil has reinvigorated them. S. flava rubri. clone L x best clone
S. 'Marston Select'
This one's been a bit of a head scratcher. Got it from MW back in 2016. It's a very pouty thing and hasn't really done much 'til this year. Almost threw it out a couple of times. Thing is ... it doesn't look like any pictures I've seen of S. flava ornata Gulf Coast. It actually looks like Mike's 'red form' from Cooks Bayou, Bay County, FL. Mike? What say you?
Had a nice flush of autumn leucos and a few still lingering on. Otherwise, well.... we all know what happens with Sarras and their keepers in winter. Sarras say: Right, that's enough for a while. Keepers say: Hell, I need pics of Northern Hemisphere mates' plants to look at!
Hey Rick, Great photo's and beautiful plants. I got a chunk of that S. (flava x oreophila) Wes Buckner clone from Calen back in the beginning of April and it really is a great plant. I can't wait to see it next season after it has had some time to get established.
sanguinearocks101: What are good plants to make hybrids with S. luecophylla with? Im looking for dark colors.

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
