You guys might like this story: I spent many hours this past weekend moving plants, leveling the soil (all messed up from voles and gophers), adding a weed matt, placing woodchips on top of the weed matt, and then moving all the plants back into place after organizing them. My daughter ran down the new "path" in the middle and loved it, she showed complete appreciation for all the hard work!
I grabbed my wife and said "hey babe, come check this out, it's pretty cool!" As soon as she saw us walking toward the newly fixed up section she said "oooh, I thought you were going to show me something interesting!" LOL BAM! My soul was temporarily crushed, but hey, at least you guys can appreciate it!
Mike, be lucky! If your wife starts to develop interests into growing CP's too, you have to share some space! Sharing a bed together is OK, but not the plant collection!
Poor Mikie! I can relate a little when I get excited about something new (not nep related) I go tell the wife and I usually get the you drug me out here to show me that look followed by the, "that's nice." Now she gets ecstatic when she knows I'm cutting sarr flowers because she gets a bouquet out of the deal. To be honest I think that's the only reason she tolerates my sarr collection is for the spring flowers.
stu: Hi Mike: I’m pleased to report that the S. rubra wherryi Chatom Giant you sent has arrived in great shape as did the bonus plant from NC. Both are now back under southern skies and are feeling warm, humid, and at home again. Thanks!

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
