All of these sarrs were acquired in the last couple of months. I have a few more on the way this week including a reptilian rose! I think these will be my last purchases for a while. Hopefully, these settle in nicely and grow beautifully next year.

drummer230 great start! You say these will be your last purchases for awhile but as they say, actions speak louder than words ;-) Also, I see the pics of your setup and YES! someone else using plastic washing machine pans to set their plants in. I think they are close to a perfect height for holding the right amount of water, especially outdoors with frequent rains. Pretty darn durable after two seasons but don't try to move with any water in them...I speak from experience with a cracked pan.

Yup. My last 4 or 5 transactions, I told myself "This is my last purchase until Spring." I find myself window-shopping everyday and feel like it's only a matter of time before I make my next "last purchase until Spring."

Sidorian, I think they are just about perfect also! I built a wooden tray for it to sit in, so it’s supported on the bottom. I am hoping that’ll allow me to move it. xanthoparmelia I’ve done the same thing lol. I keep saying I need to buy them now so that they are settled in for next year! dj57 I am envious of that collection! Unfortunately, (or fortunately) I bought my house before I found my sarr addiction. I’ve found that once the sun gets lower in the fall, I don’t get enough sunlight in my backyard because of all the trees, so I have to move them to the front yard. That will definitely limit my collection.

Who am I kidding? I went to Lowe’s tonight to buy peat moss for my new arrivals and I couldn’t pass up a beautiful looking s. Purpurea. I was surprised at how good it looked, and I figured for $10, what the hell? I didn’t t have any purpureas anyways.

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
