I want to thank you all for your support of Meadowview over the years and encourage you to consider an end of year charitable gift to Meadowview. As you know, we are an official non-profit 501(c)(3) conservation charity and your donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Our chief source of operating support has been from our nursery but we also need your support to maintain and expand our work. We own and manage two native Virginia pitcher plant preserves totaling over 250 acres (Joseph Pines and Central VA Preserve) that contain the last remaining native Virginia pitcher plants, have two paid staff members (Rich Curzon horticulturist and Dennis Jewell as Joseph Pines Preserve manager), and have two operating facilities (Meadowview headquarters and nursery and the Center for Biodiversity at Joseph Pines Preserve). As President, Founder, and Board Member of a non-profit I get the distinct privilege of working at no compensation, full time, to make all this work and I gave my entire personal collection and house to Meadowview to make all this happen.
So... I'm asking you to help us now. Our cash demands for equipment, staff, and infrastructure are just incredible and we need your help to make it through the winter. Just go to our website at www.pitcherplant.org, click on the donate link, and pick the option you most prefer.
Don't be a stranger. Come visit us and see first hand the work we are doing. We really enjoy giving personal tours of our preserves and work and hope you will visit us soon. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Phil Sheridan, Ph.D. President and Director Meadowview Biological Research Station

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
