Since the loss of my "sand mountain" ornata(i still have it but it turned out to not be a real oreo) I decided to attempt to fill that gap in my collection.
Enter this beauty I recently got from MBRS. I think they still have 1 more and it was a hard decision between this one and the other one. TBH the other one looked a little more ornate but this one seemed to have more growth. They have many beauties that are not in the catalog. I have found the best course of action is to just inquire about what you are looking for and see if they can accommodate you.
hopefully once the new growth develops I will have a better pic. I have a feeling next year this guy will be stellar.
stu: Hi Mike: I’m pleased to report that the S. rubra wherryi Chatom Giant you sent has arrived in great shape as did the bonus plant from NC. Both are now back under southern skies and are feeling warm, humid, and at home again. Thanks!

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
