-They raise funds in our annual benefit auction to support conservation efforts at properties owned by The Nature Conservancy, acquire conservation easements to link patchy pieces of threatened habitat, and support our rescue and maintenance efforts of Sarracenia species.
2. Meadowview Biological Research Station - www.pitcherplant.org/
-Our goal is to preserve and restore a part of our natural bog heritage by returning the endangered Yellow Pitcher Plant, Sarracenia flava, and the Purple Pitcher Plant, Sarracenia purpurea, to their historic ranges in Virginia and Maryland utilizing an integrated ecosystem restoration approach.

-Involved with Sarracenia conservation since 1989 (especially S. purpurea var. montana), including display gardens (http://atlantabg.org/plan-your-visit/locations/conservation-gardens) as well as propagation, safeguarding genetic diversity, and reintroduction efforts.
5. Birmingham Botanical Garden - www.bbgardens.org/conservation-overview.php
-Major player in S. oreophila and S. alabamensis conservation in AL, founding member of the Alabama Plant Conservation Alliance
6. State Botanical Garden of Georgia - botgarden.uga.edu/
-Founding organization of the Georgia Plant Conservation Alliance, which among other things targets conservation of mountain bogs, Sarracenia within Georgia, and other rare plants that occur alongside CPs in their habitats
7. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division, Nongame Conservation Section. - www.georgiawildlife.com/conservation
-They are in charge of the creation and management of state Natural Areas, which include Doerun Pitcherplant Bog and many, many other CP habitats. They work with landowners to secure conservation easements for the rare plants that are not protected on government or nonprofit property. They do burns, keep herbicide crews from DOT or power companies from blasting away Sarracenia accidentally, and also outreach to the public on how important conservation is. Members from GADNR also participated in the successful rescue of flavas from the well-known Statesboro Bog site in Bulloch Co., GA. This agency makes up a critical piece of conservation work for CPs in Georgia.
