I'd say my tallest pitcher right now is about 2 inches, with a flower stalk or two at 3-4 inches. This is a month and a half after noticing the first signs of growth. The plants sure started early, but they're taking their sweet time.
Everything clearly WANTS to grow here, but we're expecting snow tomorrow, go figure....on the other hand, I've got a stretch of nice weather coming up where they may at least temporarily be able to go outside and start growing; I hate looking at etiolated leaves, I need color here!!!
Those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do.
stu: Hi Mike: I’m pleased to report that the S. rubra wherryi Chatom Giant you sent has arrived in great shape as did the bonus plant from NC. Both are now back under southern skies and are feeling warm, humid, and at home again. Thanks!

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
