Ahh, March...birthdays, spring's arrival, everything FINALLY begins waking up around here.... All my stuff is getting repotted in preparation for the move outdoors, so a few pics from the transition will be in within the next couple weeks...

I'm watching flower buds very slowly grow on quite a few of my Sarracenia. I think they got started by a string of warm days in mid-February. Strangely my "Daina's Delight" which was the first to start last year has not shown any signs of growth yet.
Here in the UK mine remain behind with the current cold spell but the first with flower buds is a large Rosea - waiting for this one to flower to check it's a Rosea and not a large Venosa. Hopefully the plants will get a move on soon so I've got something worth taking pictures of!

stu: Hi Mike: I’m pleased to report that the S. rubra wherryi Chatom Giant you sent has arrived in great shape as did the bonus plant from NC. Both are now back under southern skies and are feeling warm, humid, and at home again. Thanks!

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
