I, too, like this a lot. Being an English teacher, I can't help but offer some grammatical advise, though. I recommend following the typical, modern format for poetry as follows. I also fixed a few grammatical things. I think this lends clarity overall.
Okay. Screw grading. During my prep hour today I punched out three drawings that various degrees of complete and one of which I am quite pleased with. The other two are okay, too. I will try to scan them real quick and upload them for your criticisms and adjustments.
Teaser: I drew an Anderson stylized flava, a leuco, and one featuring a couple minor. The last one has a cute phrase I think you folks could really get behind...
I hope this uploads correctly. Here is my favorite so far, so I colored it in. Not going for realism per say, but the post-modern, Anderson-esque vibe instead. I am open to ANY changes you folks recommend. I drew this up in like ten minutes and can make a better one, too, if you like it.
Here's a quick sketch. I know this is the "sarracenia" forum... but we do talk other CP stuff as well. I could do a version of just sarracenia too as a comparison. I do like Corey's just white line art on a black t-shirt.... keep it simple and clean.
I think there are other designers/print people here on the forums but as a side note for anyone (or Johnathan) out there that don't have the software.... I can help out to build the print file. It's what I do all day long... just let me know.
In 2014 you made a leuc design that wasnt chosen. Mind if i throw it into the running?
I actually forgot about that leuco design. And come to think of it I also did 'Legacy'. If you want to see them I can post them. They're the same design with different plants. I am concerned with the printer not being able to handle the detail, though. Oh.......and I'm looking for a fly for DirtyDivisions. lol
This is the design that rmeyer posted for last year, and the year before. i am resubmitting them on his behalf
Unfortunately, I cannot find legacy
Creator of the forums! Yeah, I know I was away for a while, but I am back!!!
j@admin : I have never posted the Legacy artwork. But I will....together with the Leuco artwork, after I whittle them down to the color requirements. (Teespring doesn't like shadows either.) Give me a day or two.....trying to fit it in. By the way...I used Mike Wang's photography for that leuco you just posted.
summit: Hey guys, I'm about to sow some seeds and I was curious to know what everyone thinks 'too hot' for Sarracenia seeds would be? Having them in the dome bumps up the temps a bit.
Oct 2, 2019 13:36:15 GMT -5
DirtyDivisions: summit I’ve been fine at a constant 95° F under the dome. Once the tiny seedlings have two pitchers I remove the dome and temps go down.

summit: @dirtydivisions Thanks for that! I'm sitting around 87-88F with the dome fully sealed but I wasn't doing that and sacrificing humidity to keep it cooler but I'll go ahead and close it down now!

Skirt: Sarracenia can grow in Miami, right?

DirtyDivisions: Yep, Sarracenia will grow anywhere! In your toilet even...if have the proper amount of light etc...

mikee: Thanks you chofah, there is a great video from The Pitcher Project with Phil Faulisi this was what I was looking for. However it still appears to be wait and see what results come from the cross. Many thanks

Willy: It would be rather silly to expect totally predictable results from a cross. The individual plants grown from the seeds will vary, sometimes quite a bit, even with carefully protected hand pollination. If you open polinate, the variety may be even greater.

superstressed: Recently purchased a s. purpurea from Mike and I am so impressed with the quality of the plant that arrived. My Purpurea is now one of the larger plants in my collection! Mike also included an beautiful Flava var. for free. I will absolutely buy again.
