I need to repot all of my seedling batches from last year, but I only have so much room. As such, I offer here *several* (read: a yet to be determined number) of Sarracenia gulfensis Green x Green Monster. I received this seed from sprouse58 last year and there are sure to be some awesome plants from this batch. Some are showing the AF trait, and I promise to include several of the AF individuals in your winnings.
Anyway, these dudes are still little, but you will get a several! Timing wise, I plan on repotting this soon, but your shipping date will depend on when I get the time to dig in and do some plant work. I plan on having you in business by April 1, for sure. Shipping cost will be $3 to the good ole' 50 states. Let the bidding start at $5!

Never really looked at these during the auction but the pictures have me interested. Do got know if the gulfensis green is an AF plant? If it is, I would have guessed all the offspring would have turned out AF. That could mean there is more than one AF gene in play here.
I have that the rubra gulfenis green done in that cross from Okaloosa, Al. It is not AF. I have the AF variety from Yellow river, Fl, but once again it was not used in that cross. Stray pollen not withstanding. Thanks

sprouse58 Thanks for the reply. Interesting that you get some AF offspring even though there's only one AF parent. The rubra gulfensis green must be a carrier for the AF allele. Looks like the 50:50 ratio you'd expect in the progeny. I'm not familiar with the gulfensis green plant. What about it makes it green? Is it like a flava maxima?
summit: Hey guys, I'm about to sow some seeds and I was curious to know what everyone thinks 'too hot' for Sarracenia seeds would be? Having them in the dome bumps up the temps a bit.

DirtyDivisions: summit I’ve been fine at a constant 95° F under the dome. Once the tiny seedlings have two pitchers I remove the dome and temps go down.

summit: @dirtydivisions Thanks for that! I'm sitting around 87-88F with the dome fully sealed but I wasn't doing that and sacrificing humidity to keep it cooler but I'll go ahead and close it down now!

mikee: Thanks you chofah, there is a great video from The Pitcher Project with Phil Faulisi this was what I was looking for. However it still appears to be wait and see what results come from the cross. Many thanks

Willy: It would be rather silly to expect totally predictable results from a cross. The individual plants grown from the seeds will vary, sometimes quite a bit, even with carefully protected hand pollination. If you open polinate, the variety may be even greater.

superstressed: Recently purchased a s. purpurea from Mike and I am so impressed with the quality of the plant that arrived. My Purpurea is now one of the larger plants in my collection! Mike also included an beautiful Flava var. for free. I will absolutely buy again.
