Well, I am not exactly found of uprooting my plants and putting them in hot water. I bought a pesticide with perythrin, I will see what happen. I have scales on my prized sarracenias. I see no scales on any sarracenias that are outside, but my plants inside seem to have a few of them on a lot of them. I am not sure why it is only the plants in the greenhouse or inside.
How about soaking the plant in water for like 30 minutes? would that drown the bugs?
It won't unfortunately.....pesticides get rid of 90+ % of the pests when used properly, but you won't get them all, and you'll eventually run into chemical resistance. if you want 100% of the pests to be killed on that particular plant without any chance of building resistance to chemicals, the hot water dip is very effective once you get it down.
sanguinearocks101: What are good plants to make hybrids with S. luecophylla with? Im looking for dark colors.

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
