Now that the Sarracenia forum has a youtube channel, we should make awesome content to post on it.
I was thinking of video ideas:
-What is Sarracenia
-The species of Sarracenia (how to ID, differences in grow styles)
-The cultivars, location types, and hybrids of (insert species here).
-Sarracenia Convservation
-Sarracenia companions (other carnivores/bog plants)
I was thinking the first video should be what is Sarracenia/ What is the Sarracenia forum, and what do they mean to you. If you would like to participate, please let me know, record a small clip and send to me via youtube, or email, or cloud, and I will work on making putting them all together for our first community video in the end of December.
For example, here is what I would say:
"Sarracenia for me has been quite a challenge. Living in NYC it is not always easy to find suitable space to grow these carnivores in, but they have been rewarding too. The Sarracenia forum has been a way for me to foster a community of like-minded people who have their focus on preserving genetics, conserving and appreciating the beauty of these foliage plants. As time passes these carnivores are being seen less as a novelty and more as the beautiful foliage plants they are. The Sarracenia forum has shown that these plants do have a dedicated following and they continue to connect and astonish growers on all levels of expertise. "
With images of my own personal collection, or me with other growers, or just an image montage over me talking.
If you would like to participate in this or any other video, please let me know. Also if you have ideas for educational materials let me know too!
Also, I would like someone to recreate this in the summer of 2016, but with sarracenia:
I don't really have ants like this where I live, but if anyone does, please do this!
