Eric: they're usually bright red for me, you been feedin them traps some chocolate milk? J/K That's an unknown clone that I acquired more than a decade ago, no location data, no clonal name, no nuthin, but it performed well and produces deep red pitchers here in California, so I decided to propagate it. That brown color is very unusual.
Calen:R you talking about the same RED clone above from Liberty Co, FL? In any case, it'll be really interesting to see how it performs in Oregon. Sounds like your plant is now FADDA than my mutha plant!
Nothing but full KY sun...no chocolate milk lol. I must say it's the best atropurpurea I have. Always really red...or brown.
sanguinearocks101: What are good plants to make hybrids with S. luecophylla with? Im looking for dark colors.

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
