Nice photo's folks..................It is amazing how this plant changes in appearance in comparison to its mature form that all of us are familiar with. Here is my plant today...notice the lip color has darken even more yet this is the same Leah Wilkerson Plant shown in the first post.

I have two S. 'Leah Wilkerson's. One has two growth points....this one has one growth point. Both are in their first growing season in my care. Both plants coloration is identical. Anyway........ever seen such a 'red' 'LW' lol.
OK folks, remember this plant? Needs no introduction.
Now reference the topic, look at last years photos of the same plant, 2015 season.
Now behold, 2016 season, the same plant. Initial pitchers just finish opening up so the're still kinda red. Its ICONIC appearance is almost there; definitely not in size though. Not yet. It looks like it went thru metamorphosis or something. I like to shoot the photos now when the plant is colorful. Won't be long till the plant fades back into its seasonal lime green, white top and purple cut throat...more photos will follow showing the plant in seasonal faded green.
stu: Hi Mike: I’m pleased to report that the S. rubra wherryi Chatom Giant you sent has arrived in great shape as did the bonus plant from NC. Both are now back under southern skies and are feeling warm, humid, and at home again. Thanks!

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
