Sizing: “extra small” plants are seedlings in their first season of growth. “Small” plants are approximately two seasons from blooming. “Medium” plants are approximately a season from blooming. “Large” plants are blooming size.
Divisions
Sent bare-root. More plants coming this winter, but for now:
1. S. montana F-1 Transylvania Co. NC Established divisions from my mother plants, originally from Mike Wang. Compact, ornate traps. Extremely vigorous - most of these divs have multiple growth points.
small $10, medium $15, large $20
Select Seedlings - 2014 crosses SOLD OUT
These are all from my own breeding, with only top-notch parents used. Plants were germinated in December 2014 and are size “extra-small” with pitchers 1-2” in height. There will be many incredible plants that come out of these crosses and I wish I could keep them all! A great way to add diversity to your collection at an amazing price. Prices are for a group of seedlings: 15+ plants per group, sent bare root.
Pic of six month old flava ornata seedlings size XS - look at those roots!
1. S. flava (var. rubricorpora “MW F1” x var. cuprea “BH”) These are running the gamut from solid red plants to more of a throat blotched copper top look and everything in between! SOLD OUT
2. S. flava (var. cuprea “Lois” x var. ornata Gulf Coast) These are going to be incredible! Densely veined coppery ornatas with lots of red lips! $12 SOLD OUT
3. S. flava var. cuprea (“Lois” x “BH”) Two of the best cupreas out there, crossed! BH is big, vigorous, and holds its color well, while Lois is known for its exceptional reddish lid and tube. $12 SOLD OUT
4. S. flava var. ornata (Black Veins Bulloch Co. GA Clone B x Gulf Coast) Exact remake of the classic cross by Mike Wang. These. Will. Be. Stunning. SOLD OUT
5. S. flava var. ornata (LW5 x Gulf Coast) LOTS of color showing already. These will be very ornate with lots of red lips and mouths. Some rugeliis and red plants possible too! SOLD OUT
6. S. flava var. ornata (Black Veins, Bulloch Co. GA Clone B x rugelii AxB#1) The best of these will combine the size and vigor of the rugelii parent with the incredible venation of the Black Veins mother plant. $15 SOLD OUT
7. S. flava var rugelii (AxB#1 x 403) Both parents are big and solid with huge throat blotches. Note: when cleaning seeds I totally goofed and mixed some (rugelii AxB#1 x ornata Black Veins) seeds into the pure rugelii batch. Doh! So some of these may be ornatas just like item 6 above. Not necessarily a bad thing at all and as the plants grow up it will be obvious which is which. SOLD OUT
8. S. flava var. rubricorpora (CCs clone x “MW F1”) Two quality red tubes used here. MWF1 is one of my favorite plants - strong growth and reliable color. This batch turned out about 75% red tube and 25% rugelii / ornata. Please specify if you’d like the greener plants included, otherwise I will only send red ones. SOLD OUT
9. S. leucophylla (Hurricane Creek White Clone A x Hurricane Creek White Clone F) Two of the best HCW clones crossed; many vigorous, blinding whites will no doubt come out of this batch! SOLD OUT
10. S. x moorei (leucophylla “Wilkerson’s Red Rocket” x flava var. rugelii AxB#1) One of the best red leucos crossed with one of the best rugeliis - this batch will be full of huge plants with great color! SOLD OUT
11. S. x moorei (leucophylla Hurricane Creek White Clone F x flava var. rugelii 403) The whitest HCW crossed with a VERY chunky rugelii. S. x ‘Legacy’ was my inspiration here. $15 SOLD OUT
12. S. purpurea ssp. venosa Tatnall Co. GA (#1 x #2) Endangered population and the southernmost known venosas. Incredibly ornate traps with frilly lids. SOLD OUT
13. S. x catesbaei (purp. venosa Tatnall Co. GA #1 x flava ornata Black Veins Bulloch Co. GA Clone B) Georgia catesbaeis! Lots of incredible veins on these guys already. SOLD OUT
14. S. (‘Royal Ruby’ x ‘Judith Hindle’) Always hard to judge with complex crosses but these should be gorgeous mid-size trumpets with lots of red and white. SOLD OUT
