I'm interested in buying the following cultivars, and I'm not picky about the size or age of the plant. It can even be a recently established leaf pulling:
'Slack's Giant' aka 'G16' 'Mega Traps' aka 'G17' 'DC XL' 'King Henry' 'El Gecko's Large Traps' 'Low Giant' 'Akia Ryu' 'FTS Purple Ambush' 'B52' (I want to get a back-up plant in case the -5f temps this winter took out the one residing in my bog) 'Big Vigorous' 'Big Mouth' 'Jaws' 'Dutch Delight' 'FTS Maroon Monster'
Feel free to reply in thread or by PM. If anyone else is looking for these cultivars, you are welcome to add a 'me too!' to this thread! I'll add a strikethrough to the plants above as I take them off my 'looking for' list.
Related news: Has anyone seen the latest copy of the ICPS journal? There is a new vft cultivar out called 'Purple Haze' and it looks pretty sweet. It is from a cross between 'Low Giant' and 'Akai Ryu.'
That is a nice looking flytrap! It will be interesting to see how much it goes for. Too bad the one on eBay and the ones he is going to list through his website are out of my budget. Good luck, hopefully you will win it!
It sure is nice! I wonder how much his list price for them on his website will be, I anticipate it will be close to or slightly below the end bid, within reason of course.
And you know how he says, "Don't let it flower this year"? I could let it flower, AND make it have an absolute monster of a rhizome by the end of the year. It would simply mean frequent feeding. I still don't understand why more commercial growers don't fertilize VFTs. It is more work, and you have to be careful, but the results (to me) are worth it.

Being a leuco, I'm sure it will look good one way or another. ~ Adam

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
