Here's an outstanding clone that really should be registered if it hasn't already been. This plant originates from our very own Brooks Garcia of Sarracenia Obsessed, who always comes up with some very gory and clever names! Thank you Brooks for sending me this amazing plant!
So far, from the little time that I've had to play with this plant, it seems to produce some decent spring and summer pitchers, but the real show, much like it's S. leucophylla ancestors, occurs during the fall. The traps seem to be the biggest and most colorful during the fall, and this plant is certainly a robust, vigorous grower.
As the name suggest, there are very intense color contrasts on the pitcher, and the name really does describe that well. Is the pitcher blood red? Perhaps under different environmental conditions, the pink color that I'm getting can turn dark red, but we'll see. My plant still hasn't fully been established, so I suspect the colors will be more intense as the plant gets used to the California outdoors. In any case, the key feature on this plant is the color contrast, and how that captures your eye right away! By all means, this clone is quite a looker, even with my crappy photo skills!
Photos taken 11/27/14. Keep in mind, this plant still hasn't reached its fullest potential:

mikee: Thanks you chofah, there is a great video from The Pitcher Project with Phil Faulisi this was what I was looking for. However it still appears to be wait and see what results come from the cross. Many thanks

Willy: It would be rather silly to expect totally predictable results from a cross. The individual plants grown from the seeds will vary, sometimes quite a bit, even with carefully protected hand pollination. If you open polinate, the variety may be even greater.
