Beat you to it Jonathan Mejia Post pictures taken during month of September here Rubras and leucos should be in full force about now, with a few oreophilas making nice fall leaves. Most oreophilas and flavas should be slowing down, and making phyllodia.
OK...I thought my S.minor was a freak blooming a month ago....well here comes super-freak.....my S.flava coppertop tonight.
ARGGHHHH!!!!!!!! THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!! I've been acing 5 he same pro let as you yosemite, but worse. A lot of very nice plants have been putting up unusually short flower stalks very quickly and I don't see them so then they open. So far I I've gotten my first Bulloch county flower, but in fall! Same with another flava var ornata,2 on my S. Purpurea ssp venosa x ssp purpurea and one of my Sarracenia hybrids (I can't remember the cross right now)
Does any one know why this could be? Mike, Calen and goodkoalie, you are in my area, have you been having these problems?
greenthumb I have never had this, but my dad lives 10 moles from me. He has had a flava x oreophila flower, and a purp purp just dropped its petals. Last year I had a oreophila Alabama flower, but then it flowered again in the spring
greenthumb I had a couple plants fall bloom this year. One flava cuprea has fall bloomed 2 years in a row now (and not spring bloomed - used up the bud early!). I figure this will happen from time to time, with some clones being more prone than others.
Another meizzwang acquisition. S. flava var rubricorpora L x Best clone...........and an itsy bitsy spider. This plant is showing the same stained glass coloration as my S. 'Black Widow' x flava var. ornata.
Been awhile since I posted in monthly photos! Here are some shots from around the collection: Leuco HCW Clone A. This is definitely a "fall" trap, but there are a couple pitchers coming out that look like they are going to dwarf this one. Clone A again: HCW "unknown clone" This bad boy also has a bunch more traps in the works. Leuco "red" Leuco "red" All these traps belong to one unflowered leuco seedling I snagged from CCs. This thing has potential to be a monster - it's still in a puny 4" pot yet it's more robust than my Wilkerson's Red Rocket (if not as refined...). I plant to stick it in an 8" pot this winter and see how big it can really get. Hands-down my favorite rosea: Mobile Co. AL Clone K from monsieur Wang. My ever expanding, ever voracious B-52 flytrap horning in on rubra ssp. jonesii Lastly, a little overview shot. I might need more space soon, eh?

Look at all the babies!!
stu: Hi Mike: I’m pleased to report that the S. rubra wherryi Chatom Giant you sent has arrived in great shape as did the bonus plant from NC. Both are now back under southern skies and are feeling warm, humid, and at home again. Thanks!

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
