This is my first season with this one. Turned out quite red.....probably because of the recent potting. All of the leaves from two plants looked exactly the same. It will be interesting to see the difference next year.
OK, this one just popped open and I wanted to post this because it's pretty significant to this thread. Though not a tall one the mouth measures 2⅝ inches across, the widest out all pitchers on this plant. The color is a nice bright red but that will fade in time. Once again the appearance of the trap differs to that of the others, plant 1.
Not a whole lot. We'll see what happen next season. Just to note we are expecting high temps, 90's to 100 by Thursday. ZONE 10.
Email him and request a list of his plants. I have some of his S. Flava Rubric's and Maroon Alata's that are now 12 years old. The Leuco Drummonds I believe are 5 to 8 years I forget and have to look it up. I'm not too knowledgeable on the Giant Leuco's. My understanding is that the actual Drummonds was a Victorian leucophylla. There are several different clones. You could read thru the details here.
(The relevant part of) his response: "No more web site, will be on ebay soon this spring, still have a big inventory of plants, but no list put together yet. Same stuff I've had in the past, prices are the same as well, just doing paypal. If you need something, just ask...I'll let you know if I have and how much."
I suspect there's 2, possibly 3 different clones: the red drummond's giant imposter and then the real deal clone that either has crazy phenotypic variance or is 2 different clones. . However, it's very possible the red clone can also get gigantic, but ever since they came up with Adrian Slack Imposter I thought it would be nice to recycle that word a bit....

Leuco Drummonds Giant Phil's Clone is such an Awesome and Stunning Giant Leuco👌🏽 And the whole season, this clone didn't have any pitchers at all, just one flower, and only the last maybe 3 weeks did it finally sprout out these massive pitchers.
sanguinearocks101: What are good plants to make hybrids with S. luecophylla with? Im looking for dark colors.

adaetz100: Sarracenia purpurea tends to add a lot of red/purple to its offspring, but there are some lovely dark red flava x leucophylla crosses too. Look up 'Royal Ruby' if you're not familiar with it already--it's a natural flava x leuco hybrid
