February 2014 Forum Stats
Hello everyone,
I wanted to release my "insider information" about the forum to everyone. The forum statistics that I keep track of are pageviews, new threads, new members, and # of posts made. I can create a graph with a bigger range, but here is the graph for February of 2014:
Yes, it is lots to digest.
Keep in mind that the red (posts made), green (threads created), and yellow (new members) lines are measured in the left hand scale, and the pageviews are measured in the right hand scale.
As you can notice, some days of the week, the site gets more traffic, and some days it is more dead. Also, the recent burst in traffic seems to be coming from:
- t-shirt thread,
- Cooks Carnivores in the News thread,
- rosea vs purpurea debate,
- The Sarracenia Forum FAQ,
- If you build a bog they will grow thread,
- February 2014 monthly pictures,
- Flava var cuprea 'Botanique thread.
And now, for the most popular thread this month on the Sarracenia forum:
This thread has over 8,120 views and keeps on growing every day! Keep up the good work meizzwang
---------Totals----------
One cool thing about the graph is that by calculating the area under each line, we can see the totals for the month. The totals are:
Pageviews: 63,426
Posts: 525
Threads: 52
New Members: 10
Two of the new member accounts were spam, and so the 8 new members that are actually people are:
If you have yet to meet these people write them a pm, or see their introduction threads. I am sure they would like to meet all of you. Building a healthy community will keep people coming back, especially new members which may be shy about participating in the forums for the first time!
This month has been one of the best, and I feel as if we accomplished so much already in just 28 days. Lets make next month even better! Don't be shy about advertising the forum to friends, and on FB, Twitter, and other sites. lets try to make this place welcoming, and a home to anyone with Sarracenia in their collection.
I hope to create a thread like this every month to let you know how the forum is doing health wise. Keep posting pictures of all your plants, and stay awesome
